Terry began his IT career in the late 1970's while serving as an US Marine. During the 1980's and 1990's Terry worked in various positions with two pulp and paper manufacturers. Terry provided systems management services, designed and installed high speed Local Area Networks, and provided support for Wide Area Networks. During the Year 2000 work, Terry managed the IT staff, provided systems and network design and installation services for a large wholesaler/ retailer. For the past several years, Terry has been working as an IT consultant providing high speed network design and support services, systems administration services, and writing custom application for clients in retail, health care, finances, education, and manufacturing. | Our Health Care Experience |
| From July 2005 until Dec 2007 we had been involved in the computerization of a nine clinic health care organization in Eastern Maine. They had grown from one server and a handful of personal computers to eight servers and nearly one hundred personal computers. This group had gone just computerized billing to full blown electronic practice management and electronic medical records. In addition to the explosion in systems, this same firm modernized its phone systems and data networks. They are running a converged voice and data network, leveraging their investment in high speed connections, while minimizing the numbers of old analog lines needed to ensure timely communication between sites. We also helped this health care organization develop policies and procedures to control its IT investment. We look at not only the hardware and software needs of a business, but at the complete IT function within a company. |
